Job Scope: Shift Supervisor responsibilities include formulating overall strategy, managing people and establishing policies. To be successful in this role, you should be a thoughtful leader and a confident decision-maker, helping our people develop and be productive, while ensuring quality product are produced.

Position Responsibilities

  • Knowledge and understanding of how to run all equipment (blenders, extruders and pulverizers)

  • Oversee and communicates daily operations schedules and expectations to the shift employees.

  • Communicates with previous and following shift leaders on schedules, materials, issues etc.

  • Completes necessary documents to show status of the production and notes of any issues.

  • Reviews the processes and communicates ideas as to increasing capacity or stream lining.

  • Ensure the overall delivery and quality of the shifts production.

  • Prepare regular reports for upper management and be involved in strategic planning.

  • Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations

  • Problem solving to issues (e.g. capacity, employee conflicts, quality issues)

  • Increases employee’s effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining, assigning accountabilities; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.

  • Develops strategic plan by studying process opportunities, presenting analysis, and recommending objectives.

  • Accomplishes objectives by establishing measurements; allocating resources; reviewing progress; and making mid-course corrections.

  • Maintains quality service by enforcing organization standards.

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

  • Other duties may be added as needed by management
