Job Scope: Shift Supervisor responsibilities include formulating overall strategy, managing people and establishing policies. To be successful in this role, you should be a thoughtful leader and a confident decision-maker, helping our people develop and be productive, while ensuring quality product are produced.
Position Responsibilities

Knowledge and understanding of how to run all equipment (blenders, extruders and pulverizers)

Oversee and communicates daily operations schedules and expectations to the shift employees.

Communicates with previous and following shift leaders on schedules, materials, issues etc.

Completes necessary documents to show status of the production and notes of any issues.

Reviews the processes and communicates ideas as to increasing capacity or stream lining.

Ensure the overall delivery and quality of the shifts production.

Prepare regular reports for upper management and be involved in strategic planning.

Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations

Problem solving to issues (e.g. capacity, employee conflicts, quality issues)

Increases employee’s effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining, assigning accountabilities; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.

Develops strategic plan by studying process opportunities, presenting analysis, and recommending objectives.

Accomplishes objectives by establishing measurements; allocating resources; reviewing progress; and making mid-course corrections.

Maintains quality service by enforcing organization standards.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
