As a Recruiter, you will be responsible for screening resumes and applications against defined hiring criteria, coordinating interviews and pre-employment steps, and managing candidate communications. You will schedule new-hire orientations, prepare orientation materials, and maintain accurate recruiting records. Additionally, you will support hiring events, coordinate onboarding tasks, and assist with offboarding processes, while upholding confidentiality and data integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Screen resumes and applications against defined hiring criteria.
  • Coordinate interviews, pre-employment steps, and candidate communications.
  • Schedule new-hire orientations and prepare orientation materials.
  • Maintain accurate recruiting activity records and compile weekly updates.
  • Support hiring events such as job fairs and onsite interview days.
  • Coordinate onboarding tasks with IT, Payroll, and Facilities.
  • Conduct new-hire orientations and maintain employee files.
  • Assist with offboarding processes and exit interview logistics.
  • Uphold confidentiality and data integrity.
  • Coordinate training logistics and facilitate engagement activities.
  • Partner across HR, Talent Acquisition, and plant operations to streamline workflows.
  • Demonstrate action orientation and effective prioritization.

Essential Skills

  • 1–2+ years of experience in recruiting or HR within a manufacturing plant environment (TA/Recruiting experience strongly preferred).
  • Proficiency with MS Office.
  • Familiarity with ATS/HRIS and job boards.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective listening and attention to detail in a fast-paced, production-oriented context.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Ability to confidently interact with candidates, employees, and leadership in person and virtually.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.

Work Environment

This is a part-time position requiring 24 hours per week over 5 days, during the first shift. The role operates in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, demanding strong organizational and communication skills.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of East Aurora, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
