Schedule:
- Night shift: 1830-0700
- Alternate weekends required (every other weekend)
- Holiday rotation (every third holiday)
- No call or standby requirements
Qualifications:
- Current RN licensure
- Minimum of 2 years total nursing experience; at least 1 year in Progressive Care/Stepdown
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Must reside at least 50 miles from facility; prior employment with CommonSpirit/CHI affiliates not permitted
- Driver’s license submission required for radius verification
- Pass/Fail exam (minimum 90%) during orientation week
- Must comply with the facility’s no artificial nails policy
Role Expectations:
- Deliver specialized nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with complex cardiac, nephrology, neurology, and endocrine needs
- Manage and titrate critical drips, including Cardizem, beta blockers, and seizure medications
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including nurse aids and charge nurses
- Float as assigned to Medical, ICU, or Rehabilitation units
- Provide comprehensive patient assessments, documentation, and care coordination
- Uphold excellent communication and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
