A rewarding opportunity is available for a Retail Pharmacist to join a dynamic pharmacy serving a high-volume community in Los Alamos, NM. This position offers a contract-to-hire pathway in a busy environment handling approximately 600 prescriptions daily, providing an engaging and fast-paced setting for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow and accuracy
- Deliver exceptional customer service and provide thorough patient counseling
- Verify USP 800 non-sterile compounded prescriptions (verification only, no compounding required)
- Maintain quality and compliance standards in a high-volume retail pharmacy
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active and clear New Mexico Pharmacist license is mandatory
- Experience with non-sterile compounding verification is considered an asset
- Background in a high-volume pharmacy environment is advantageous
- Open to new graduates eager to develop their skills and expertise in retail pharmacy
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 8:30 am 6:30 pm
- Saturday: 9:00 am 2:00 pm (rotating weekends)
