Job Description
The Order Control Clerk is the main point of contact for any questions regarding a sales order or stock transfer shipping out of the warehouse. They are the liaison between the warehouse and all other departments within the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensures timely and accurate processing and fulfillment of daily orders
- POC for any support required to troubleshoot sales order issues, cancellations or revisions
- Manages and prioritizes workload to warehouse associates
- Sets daily shipping plan based on priorities, resources and cut off times to optimize order fulfillment
- Effectively communicates with leadership, warehouse personnel, customer service, marketing or sales to address and resolve any order issues promptly
- Ensure all orders shipped within carrier cut-off/pick up times
- Monitor and reconcile any open and unshipped sales order within PRO ERP system to help maintain accurate SO status and inventory accuracy
- An understanding of our operating WMS – Tracer Plus
- Drive efficiencies by evaluating day to day processes and recommending improvement to order control and overlapping areas within the warehouse
- Assist in meeting established KPI metric as they apply to order control
- Identify new KPIs or processes as needed to help improve and drive efficiencies
- Assist in identifying and leading key project initiatives
- Ensures all safety rules and guidelines are being followed by all employees who step into the WH
- Performs other duties, as assigned
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
- Understanding of basic Microsoft Office and other job-related applications
- Previous ERP experience. PRO a plus
- Ability to read, write and speak English fluently is required. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
- Prior WH experience preferred
- HS/GED or 4+ years of WH experience required
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Minimum one year experience in shipping via FEDEX, UPS, USPS, and LTL
- Ability to work well under pressure in a team environment and effectively communicate with team members
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Working conditions are that of a standard distribution center; employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions and high noise levels
