Position Title: Research Coordinator
Division: Adult Reconstruction
Reports to: Dr. El Othmani
General Summary of Duties: The Research Coordinator will play a crucial role in managing and facilitating various administrative research activities for the office.
Essential Job Duties:
- Assist in the coordination and execution of clinical research projects focusing on hip and knee disorders and treatments.
- Responsible for IRB (Institutional Review Board) submissions, ensuring compliance with ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the research team, institutions, and sponsors to facilitate smooth study implementation.
- Consent study participants, collect, organize, and analyze data with meticulous attention to detail.
- Support the preparation of research reports, manuscripts, and academic publications.
- Aid the surgeon in academic and publication-related tasks.
- Maintain accurate and organized research documentation.
- Facilitate communication and coordination among research team members and stakeholders.
- Assist in administrative tasks, including scheduling, budgeting, and managing studies logistics.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in orthopedic research methodologies.
Job Requirements and Education:
- High school diploma, bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a medical setting.
- Prior experience with data/research analysis skills
- Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from physicians and other members.
- Excellent facilitation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer Competency including proficiency in Microsoft office and Excel.
- Knowledge of medical terminology required; Orthopedic terminology preferred.
- Detail orientation is critical to this job.
- Must be able to travel to all sites if/when necessary.
