Location: Minnetonka, MN (100% Onsite – Daily onsite presence required. Only local Minnesota residents will be considered)
Pay Rate: $27-$31.25/hr, depending on applicable candidate experience

Addison Group is supporting a well-established and growing organization in their search for a detail-oriented Associate Project Accountant to join their finance team. This role plays a critical part in maintaining project financial accuracy and reporting throughout the full project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities:
- Review active and upcoming projects in the ERP to verify budget accuracy, revenue tracking, and proper coding
- Maintain ongoing visibility into project costs, billings, and overall financial performance
- Assist with generating and distributing customized project reports, such as cash flow summaries, profitability reviews, and budget variance analysis
- Track and manage billing cycles, ensuring client invoicing is timely and accurate
- Follow up on outstanding payments, supporting AR efforts and client account reconciliation
- Analyze cost trends and identify deviations from budgets, helping teams stay on track financially
- Partner with project managers to update budgets, provide cost insights, and support strategic decisions
- Help identify areas for cost efficiency or process improvement across assigned projects
- Ensure all activity aligns with internal accounting policies, controls, and applicable financial guidelines
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across finance, operations, and project management
- Clearly communicate financial status updates to internal stakeholders and leadership
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
- Strong understanding of project accounting principles, with at least 1–3 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in financial reporting and budgeting
- Previous exposure to ERP or accounting systems
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- CPA or CPA track preferred, but not required
