We are a fast growing PEO (HR) company seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist who has good payroll experience and is looking to take the next step. We are looking for a detail oriented individual who thrives on assisting our clients with their payroll needs. This individual must be a leader and willing to set the stage and give direction. They will also be able to work well with others, be a self-starter, and continue to grow. This is a full-time position and benefits will be available as well.

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Payroll Specialist to join one of Utah's leading Payroll Processing companies. In this role, you will be responsible for processing payroll for multiple locations across the country, including handling commissions, and ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time. You will also serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries, addressing any concerns employees may have about their paystubs and deductions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll for multiple companies and employees
  • Work quickly and efficiently in a payroll program
  • Communicating with clients with regards to their payroll via email or over the phone
  • Understand and Manage payroll taxes and employee benefit deductions
  • Understand and manage the ACH processes.
  • Able to lead and give direction
  • Able to review processes and minimize mistakes
  • Able to meet deadlines and respond timely to clients and employees.

Qualifications

  • Must have at least 2 years of payroll experience
  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • CPP - Certified Payroll Professional
  • Able to manage work flow efficiently to meet client’s needs
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Must have excellent phone skills and phone etiquette
  • Ability to learn new programs quickly and able to take direction well
  • Ability to work well with others
  • A self-starter
  • Spanish speaking is a plus but not required

Compensation: $18.00-$25.00 hourly — final compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.
