Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary students as a full-time school psychologist for the upcoming academic year, starting this August. In this impactful position near Elgin, IL, you'll work on a contract basis, collaborating closely with other dedicated school psychology professionals.

This role centers on conducting primarily initial evaluations, with some re-evaluations as needed, providing essential insights that contribute to student success. You’ll be part of a supportive and knowledgeable team, allowing you to share ideas, gain valuable experience, and focus on best practices as you collectively support the unique needs of young learners.

Qualifications:

  • Valid certification/licensure as a School Psychologist, meeting state requirements
  • Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology or a related field
  • Recent experience conducting psychoeducational assessments in a school setting
  • Strong understanding of the special education referral and eligibility process
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive educational environment

Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive initial psychoeducational evaluations and select re-evaluations
  • Analyze assessment results, prepare detailed reports, and participate in eligibility meetings
  • Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to develop appropriate interventions and supports
  • Collaborate with fellow school psychologists to coordinate caseloads and share expertise
  • Aid in developing IEP recommendations and strategies aligned with student needs
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings, ensuring a team-based approach to student services
