JOB SUMMARY
The Graphic Designer, reporting to the Creative Lead, plays a central role in developing and coordinating marketing materials, advertising campaigns, and various promotional assets. This role involves both in-house creative development, often leveraging AI design tools to enhance ideation and streamline workflows, and collaboration with external design firms to ensure high-quality design that aligns with the organization’s style guide. The Graphic Designer is responsible for managing project timelines, ensuring message consistency, and upholding visual excellence across all materials, including website updates and edits. This position requires attention to detail, strong design skills, and the ability to adapt to evolving brand needs and integrate new technologies to drive efficiency.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, fine arts, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with HTML preferred.
Experience:
- At least two years of experience in graphic design or related field.
- Experience working on a collaborative team with various individuals.
- Experience translating ideas and requirements to outside vendors.
- Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office, Adobe InDesign, and Photoshop, with familiarity in additional Adobe Creative Cloud programs being a plus.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Technical Skills & Proficiency:
- Strong ability to design, leveraging AI tools for enhanced ideation and accelerated concept creation, and strategically appeal to target audiences.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud programs (specifically InDesign and Photoshop) including experience with new generative AI features like Generative Fill and Generative Expand.
- Experience in web design and editing, , including the use of AI-driven tools for rapid prototyping and mockups.
- Advanced computer literacy and familiarity with design and layout tools, with a focus on integrating emerging AI technologies into the creative workflow.
Communication Skills:
- Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to read and interpret written information.
- Proficiency in proofreading, editing, and writing clearly.
- Strong group presentation and clarification skills, with the ability to respond to questions and actively participate in meetings.
- Capability to develop ongoing relationships and make formal and informal presentations.
Organizational & Interpersonal Skills:
- Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and proactive approach.
- Ability to organize and maintain records, with attention to detail and accuracy.

JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES
CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT AND COLLABORATION:
- Partner with copywriters, designers, digital and social media teams, and department clients to develop creative campaign concepts; ensure concepts communicate clearly, meet expectations, and adhere to brand standards and budgets.
- Support other team members by providing creative assets as needed.
- Assist with the development of special promotions and program-specific campaigns.
- Work as part of the marketing team, informing them of campaigns, deadlines, and general project statuses using Monday.com or other project management tools as assigned.
DESIGN AND PRODUCTION:
- Proficiently use InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Produce a variety of collateral in-house as needed, maintaining consistency in messaging and upholding high design standards.
- Ensure all creative (traditional, digital, and social) is effectively integrated to support holistic, integrated marketing.
- Ensure that creative adheres to the Viticus Group style guide, vision, and core values.
- Stay current with the latest creative trends in print and online to ensure a contemporary look and feel for Viticus Group.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND COMMUNICATION:
- Maintain continuity among teams by communicating about projects, deadlines, design challenges, and sourcing information as required.
- Coordinate with printers and provide final files, review proofs, and manage the production of various collateral materials, including direct mail pieces, brochures, publications, graphics for the Annual Conference, and other materials.
