Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to provide fast, efficient, and compassionate care to patients in a high-acuity emergency setting. The ER RN will triage, assess, and treat patients presenting with urgent and emergent conditions while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform rapid triage, assess patient conditions, and prioritize care based on acuity
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency interventions as ordered
• Provide immediate stabilization for critical conditions, including trauma, cardiac events, respiratory distress, and neurological emergencies
• Assist with procedures such as wound care, splinting, IV insertion, and EKG monitoring
• Respond to emergency codes (Code Blue, Rapid Response, Stroke Alerts, Trauma Alerts)
• Operate and monitor specialized ER equipment such as cardiac monitors, ventilators, defibrillators, and infusion pumps
• Collect and interpret diagnostic data, including EKGs, labs, and vital signs
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team for treatment planning
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses promptly and accurately
• Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions
• Maintain patient safety and ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory standards

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific or compact license)
• BLS and ACLS required (PALS, TNCC, ENPC preferred depending on facility)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• Strong critical-thinking, multitasking, and crisis-management skills
