Lead the design and integration of electrical systems that power advanced automation and factory operations. This role is responsible for developing scalable, high-performance solutions across control systems, robotics, communications, and power distribution—ensuring reliability, safety, and seamless system integration in complex industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with engineering and leadership teams to define system requirements and technical specifications for new and existing automation solutions
- Design and develop electrical systems, including schematics, panels, enclosures, and cabling for industrial automation environments
- Create detailed designs using CAD tools and produce complete documentation for manufacturing and assembly
- Lead integration of PLC-based control systems, industrial networks, and safety components
- Collaborate with software teams to support PLC programming, diagnostics, and system functionality
- Ensure designs meet safety, reliability, and cost-efficiency standards
- Support system commissioning, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
- Provide technical guidance during system assembly and installation
- Work cross-functionally with mechanical, software, and operations teams to resolve complex system challenges
- Evaluate new technologies, tools, and components to continuously improve system design capabilities
- Partner with vendors to source and validate electrical components and solutions
- Provide technical support and training to internal teams as needed
RequirementsQualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred
- 4+ years of experience in industrial automation or system integration
- Strong experience designing and integrating PLC-based control systems
- Proven ability to integrate complex industrial equipment, electrical systems, and safety components
- Proficiency in electrical design tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar)
- Strong understanding of electrical panels, enclosures, cabling, and assembly processes
- Experience working with industrial communication protocols and Ethernet-based systems
- Hands-on troubleshooting and debugging experience in live environments
- Experience working with vendors and component selection
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Experience
- Experience with robotics and automated manufacturing systems
- Familiarity with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and diagnostic tools
- Exposure to high-throughput production or fulfillment environments
