Role OverviewKriya’s summer intern will be a 40-hour/week position onsite in one of our RTP offices. Kriya’s summer intern will have an individual project and the opportunity to develop technical, engineering and/or scientific expertise. Through our summer internship, intern students develop a professional network, learn how to work in a scientific and engineering environment, build hands-on laboratory skills, and deliver presentations showcasing their work.
Kriya's summer internship program will run from May 18 - July 24, 2026.
Key ResponsibilitiesKriya’s intern will assist the MSAT team in the lab writing and conducting studies under the guidance of a senior employee. Their main project would likely be centered around something in the lab for drug product/frozen drug substance implementation. They would also help out with equipment set up and testing as needed and may help out with other tech transfer deliverables. The successful candidate will be motivated, curious, and hard-working, with the ability to think creatively and learn quickly to contribute to successful and timely completion of goals.
Experience & Skills and Work Environment Experience & Skills
- Intern: rising Junior or Senior pursuing a bachelor’s in biology, cell and molecular biology, biomedical sciences, biomedical engineering, chemical engineering or a related discipline
- Advanced Intern: enrolled in a master’s or PhD program in biology, cell and molecular biology, biomedical sciences, biomedical engineering, chemical engineering or a related discipline
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of AAV.
- Experience with cell culture and cell biological assays.
- Experience with data analysis.
- Experience with computer and IT systems.
- Good presentation and organization skills.
- Knowledge of basic lab skills.
Work Environment
- Primarily a laboratory or office setting
- May involve standing, sitting, and using laboratory equipment for extended periods.
- Some lifting of equipment or materials may be required.
- Work may involve exposure to chemicals or biological materials; proper handling and disposal procedures must be followed.
