Job Details
We are seeking a Teller for a well-known bank in the San Luis Obispo area!
Responsibilities:
- Process customer deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments
- Answer questions regarding checking, savings, and other bank-related services
- Maintain customer confidentiality
- Issue cashier checks, money orders, and currency orders
- Maintain accurate details of each transaction
- Balance register drawer
- Record transactions, log checks, and prepare transaction reports
- Count and package currency
- Reconcile cash drawers
- Open new accounts and assist with loan applications
- Exchange foreign currency
- Promote the bank’s products and services, such as checking and savings accounts, loans, certificates of deposit (CDs), and credit cards
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Previous banking or customer service experience preferred
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
