An opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support early childhood students in an elementary school setting in Wilkes Barre, PA. This full-time, contract position runs from March 1, 2026, to June 5, 2026, and involves conducting approximately 130 evaluations for 4- to 5-year-old children. The role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional experienced in delivering speech-language services in school environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive speech and language evaluations for early childhood students
- Collaborate with educational staff to assess and support student communication needs
- Document findings clearly and maintain compliance with school-based SLP standards
- Support individualized education plans (IEPs) and contribute to team meetings
- Manage a caseload efficiently within the contract timeframe
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working in schools, preferably with early childhood populations
- Strong knowledge of pediatric speech and language development
- Ability to manage multiple evaluations while maintaining high-quality documentation
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with educators and families
