Adjunct Instructor of ASPIRE-Degree Completion (Pool)

Area/Department: Academic Affairs/Degree Completion

Status/FLSA: Adjunct Faculty/Non-exempt

Reports to: Director of Degree Completion

Description:

The ASPIRE Simpson University Degree Completion (DC) Program is seeking a pool of qualified candidates to teach in the program for the 2025-2026 academic year. This is a part-time, temporary Adjunct Faculty position. Adjunct positions are filled as needed through ongoing recruitment. Applicants are contacted and hired year-round, based on university needs. This pool is open continuously but may be refreshed each academic year.

This academic year, the DC Program has open positions for qualified individuals to teach undergraduate courses in programs such as Business, Math, Psychology, Teacher Education, and Social Welfare in both face to face and online formats.

Qualifications:

· Master’s degree in related field

· Professional experience in related field

· Experience teaching college level courses, preferable in an accelerated online format

· Support the overflow needs of other departments within the respective university area

· Perform other duties in accordance with this position as deemed necessary by the Director

· Develop syllabus and teach a course as assigned

· Ability to utilize Canvas for course management and delivery of content

· Draw from professional experience in related field

· Work with a diverse student body population

· Contribute to the work of the Degree Completion team as requested by the Director
