POSITION SUMMARY: The Kitchen Manager oversees the daily operations of a restaurant's kitchen, ensuring smooth and efficient food preparation, maintaining high standards of quality and safety, and managing kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising kitchen staff, ensuring they are performing their duties effectively and maintaining a positive work environment.
- Overseeing food preparation, cooking, and plating, ensuring consistency and adherence to recipes and standards.
- Managing inventory levels, ordering food and supplies, and controlling food costs.
- Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations, and ensuring proper food storage and handling.
- Overseeing the maintenance and proper functioning of kitchen equipment.
- Communicating effectively with other restaurant staff, including front-of-house and management, to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
