Nemean Solutions, LLC is looking for a Logistics Management Support Specialist

This position will provide logistics management support to the Marine Command Security Force Battalion (MCSFBN) Logistics Office for approximately 1,000 military members. This management support includes advising senior military leadership on status of MCSFBN command equipment and outfitting to ensure the MCSFBN remains sufficiently equipped and outfitted to support Nuclear Weapons Security (NWS) operations.


Key Responsibilities / Actions:

  1. Monitor and report weekly the command’s equipment levels for approximately 1,000 military members.
  2. Attend weekly Operations Department Leadership meetings to ensure that Logistics capabilities are aligned with near term Operations.
  3. Monitor equipment outages, equipment maintenance rotations, and MCSFBN personnel rotations to ensure equipment and outfitting aligns with organizational requirements.
  4. Draft and recommend processes and policies regarding all functional areas of Marine Corps Logistics to include, Facilities support, Inventory Control, Transportation Support, and Maintenance management.
  5. Review proposed logistics-related corrective action plans resulting from inspections, ensuring they follow United States Marine Corps (USMC) and Naval doctrine and provide recommended adjustments to Logistics Officer.
  6. Chair the weekly Logistics Department meeting with the section heads reviewing all support related activities for projects, issues, resolutions and actions.
  7. Analyze proposed MCSFBN manpower changes and make recommendations for any equipment adjustments for all equipment assigned to the MCSFBN.
  8. Assist the MCSFBN with providing inputs and oversight to MILCON and other MCSFBN Facility Projects on SUBASE Kings Bay.
  9. Conduct periodic reviews of the Ammunition Inventory control program, ensuring compliance with the policy.
  10. Communicate weekly with the supporting facility representatives and the MCSFBN Company Commander.
  11. Forecast MCSFBN ammunition needs and, through coordination with the MCSFBN training office, ensure ammunition forecasting is being reported accurately to Logistics Office.
  12. Manage ammunition inventory utilizing Ordnance Information System-Retail (OIS-R) and review monthly ammunition inventories against OIS-R records to ensure accuracy.
  13. Provide input to Logistics Office on projected ammunition requirements.
  14. Provide weekly ammunition status report to the logistics office.
  15. Assist the MCSFBN Arms/Ammunition/Explosives (AA&E) Office by ensuring compliance with explosive safety requirements.
  16. Facilitate an annual review of tactical and non-tactical vehicle requirements and provide report to Logistics Office.
  17. Analyze transportation equipment readiness and provide report to Maintenance Management Office regarding uptime versus downtime for transportation equipment.
  18. Conduct an annual review of communication requirements and provide report to Logistics Office.
  19. Conduct quarterly reviews of the AA&E program and ensure annual physical surveys are conducted on assigned AA&E facilities and provide report to AA&E Office.
  20. Conduct program reviews related to individual equipment, identify equipment shortfalls and requirements to be communicated to USMC and United States Navy (USN) higher headquarters and provide report to the Supply Office.

Historically, the Logistician has performed the following daily actions:

  • Assist MCSFBN with providing input and oversight of Military Construction (MILCON) project planning.
  • Provide oversight and workload distribution for 9 functional areas.
  • Assist the MCSFBN with formulating budget input for the Annual Financial Management Plan (AFMP).
  • Attend and represent the Logistics Department at various meetings.
  • Provide advice and consultation via email, phone, and in person.

Support Hours: Applicant shall be available during core work hours 0900 to 1630 or as established by the RA. The facility is closed during local or national emergencies, administrative closings, or similar Government directed facility closings.

Place of Performance: The primary work location will be?Job Location?within Government facilities Naval Submarine Base in Kings Bay, Georgia.

Travel: The applicant may be required to travel to other locations within CONUS and OCONUS locations in support of this contract.

High School Graduate or GED equivalent.

48 months’ experience in logistics management.

Be familiar with Navy/USMC logistics functions (e.g., facilities management, ammunition management, transportation support, communications support, armory support, supply support, and budget planning).
