Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and food items with precision and care.
- Operate the Square POS systems for processing customer orders and payments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, adhering to food safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Manage cash handling procedures, including balancing the register at the end of shifts.
- Assist with food preparation and ensure all items meet quality standards before serving.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance overall customer satisfaction.
Skills
- Proficient in using Square POS systems is preferred.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
- Excellent sales abilities to promote menu items and upsell products effectively.
- Previous barista experience is required, along with a solid understanding of coffee preparation techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and food handling regulations in the café setting.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Experience in the food industry or retail math is advantageous.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to create welcoming experiences for guests.
