We are looking for a Helper who wants to become an Elevator Mechanic in Myrtle Beach, SC!

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with troubleshooting elevator malfunctions (hydraulic, traction, MRL systems)
• Perform minor repairs, part swaps, and diagnostic testing under supervision
• Carry tools, hoist equipment, and prepare work areas for inspections or repairs
• Support the mechanic during elevator shut-downs, resets, and safety tests
• Maintain accurate service records and daily logs
• Communicate clearly with customers and internal dispatch

Qualifications:

• Required:
  • 3+ years' experience in mechanical, electrical, or alarm system installation/repair
  • Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, or maintenance manuals
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Must pass background check and drug screening
• Preferred:
  • Electrical experience – power and hand tools
  • Familiarity with lockout/tagout procedures and OSHA safety standards
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Desire to pursue a career in the elevator trade (apprenticeship path available)

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
• Comfortable working in tight shafts, rooftops, and mechanical rooms
• Stand, kneel, or climb for extended periods
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
