Shift / Schedule
- Day Shift: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Flexibility required for weekends, holidays, on-call, overtime, and short-notice coverage
Role OverviewThe Phlebotomist (Patient Services Representative II) serves as the front-facing representative for patients seeking diagnostic services. This role is responsible for collecting high-quality blood specimens, preparing samples for laboratory testing, and ensuring all procedures are performed with accuracy, safety, and professionalism.The ideal candidate is confident in both clinical and forensic collections, thrives in a high-volume environment, and consistently demonstrates strong customer focus, adaptability, and attention to detail.Key Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and specimen collection following established practices and procedures
- Confidently collect and process clinical and forensic specimens
- Verify patient demographics, labeling, and obtain patient confirmation post-collection
- Ensure specimens are labeled in the patient’s presence and documentation is complete
- Maintain accurate records and required documentation
- Promote a safe, professional, and compliant work environment
- Demonstrate organizational commitment and a patient-first mindset
- Travel to multiple locations and provide coverage with minimal notice as needed
Required Skills & QualificationsMust-Have
- Ability to provide error-free work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections
- Strong judgment and decision-making skills within established procedures
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume setting

- Collaborative and professional approach with peers, supervisors, and patients
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
- Phlebotomy certification preferred
- Required in CA, NV, and WA (not required for MN)
Experience Requirements
- 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience required (pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections)
- 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred
- Customer service experience in a retail or service setting highly preferred
- Keyboarding and data entry experience
Training
- Training locations may vary based on trainer availability
