This is a contract position with an opportunity to work full-time; 6 month project.
Integrity Trade Services is partnered with a leading supplier of drilling products and is hiring a Purchasing Expeditor in Houston, TX.
Shift: Day shift; 7am to 4pm M-F
Location: Houston, TX 77064
Purchasing Expeditor Top Skills Required:
- Profound understanding of supply chain
- Must have at least 1-2 years of experience with purchasing and expediting
- Previous ERP system experience (1-2 yrs); JDE is highly preferred
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel Skills
- Great computer skills
- Must have high attention to detail
- Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Must be adaptable and have a high willingness to learn
Job Role: Searching for a temporary Purchasing Expeditor to work through the end of 2025. This role serves as a liaison between the purchasing team and suppliers, resolving delivery issues, updating delivery schedules, and supporting production planning by prioritizing critical items.
Purchasing Expeditor Primary Responsibilities:
- Track, trace, and expedite delivery of purchase orders by reviewing daily activity reports and contacting suppliers and shippers to ensure that merchandise, supplies, and equipment are forwarded on specified shipping date
- Monitor and manage shipments until completion
Ensure accuracy and completeness of shipments & documentation - Communicate with Sales and the Operations Team as needed to determine and relay delivery information
- Assists other departments with problem resolution involving discrepancies between purchase order, delivered quantity, quality, and/or price
- Maintain up-to-date PO delivery dates and aftermarket SO ship dates in ERP system
- Resolution on material returns, over-shipments, cancellations, and engineering changes with suppliers
- Escalation of complex issues to the Procurement Leader
Purchasing Expeditor Qualifications:
- Prior experience in purchasing or expediting
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- High School Diploma/GED
- Pass screenings
