Job Overview
Our nursing staff operates in collaborative settings with robust interdisciplinary teams, emphasizing a patient-centered care approach within a diverse work environment. Under the guidance and general oversight of the Nurse Manager, registered nurses apply evidence-based practices in line with the State Nurse Practice Act, hospital policies, and directives from the medical team. Utilizing their expertise, registered nurses develop care plans that encompass the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of patients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide patient-centered care.
- Implement evidence-based practices in accordance with hospital policies.
- Develop comprehensive care plans addressing diverse patient needs.
QualificationsExperience
- Familiarity with the nursing process and customer service principles.
- National certification in a specialty area is preferred.
- Experience in an acute care hospital setting is preferred.
- IV skills are preferred.
- Proficiency in a second language is preferred.
Licensure/Certification
- Current certification in BLS or completion within the first three months of employment.
- ACLS certification is required for Emergency Department, Critical Care Unit, and designated staff in ACU/PACU and Endoscopy.
- ACLS is strongly recommended for staff cross-trained in these areas.
- NNR certification is required for Obstetrics.
General Qualifications
- Must hold a current CT RN license and be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
