Rural Mail Carrier
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver and collect mail, packages, and parcels along assigned rural routes with accuracy and timeliness.
- Sort, organize, and prepare mail for daily delivery before departure from the post office.
- Operate postal or personal vehicle safely in all weather and road conditions while maintaining route efficiency.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering inquiries, selling postage and money orders, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and collected payments.
- Handle registered, certified, and insured mail in compliance with postal regulations.
- Report address changes, route hazards, or delivery issues to supervisors promptly.
- Lift, carry, and deliver packages weighing up to 70 pounds as required.
