Job Description
We are seeking an experienced President to lead and grow a Florida-based surveying and engineering organization. This executive role is responsible for strategic leadership, operational oversight, and technical excellence across all surveying and related engineering services. The President will ensure quality, compliance, and delivery across complex land development, infrastructure, and right-of-way projects while guiding the firm’s long-term growth and client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide executive leadership and day-to-day oversight of surveying and engineering operations
- Review and oversee preparation of all survey deliverables, including:
- Boundary surveys
- Topographical surveys
- Aerial surveys
- Construction control surveys
- Oversee property platting, subdivision plats, and related land development documentation
- Lead and manage right-of-way acquisition support and coordination
- Oversee engineering design coordination and review
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of as-built drawings and final deliverables
- Maintain compliance with all Florida statutes, professional standards, and regulatory requirements
- Serve as senior technical authority and client-facing executive
- Mentor and manage professional staff, ensuring high standards of quality and performance
- Support business development, client retention, and strategic growth initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Florida Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM) License – required
- Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in land surveying and related engineering services
- Proven experience overseeing complex surveying projects and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong background in land development, infrastructure, and right-of-way projects
- Demonstrated leadership experience at a senior or executive level
- Excellent technical judgment, organizational, and communication skills
- Strong understanding of Florida land use regulations, platting requirements, and survey standards
