Robert Half Madison is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper with 2+ years of experience to support day-to-day accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with QuickBooks Desktop and a solid understanding of bookkeeping principles, general ledger activity, and account reconciliations. This is an onsite position but after training, could have some opportunity for a more consistent remote/hybrid schedule. For consideration, please apply with your most up to date resume!
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment application, and collections support.
- Maintain accurate financial records and assist with preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor cash activity to support cash flow tracking.
- Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
- Prepare regulatory and other financial reports as required.
- Support audit requests by preparing documentation and reports.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting as needed.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of bookkeeping/general accounting experience.
- Required: Recent experience using QuickBooks Desktop.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and reconciliations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
