Law Firm seeks HR Generalist to join our team in the Marietta, Georgia office to facilitate and/or assist with all areas of Human Resources. Summary:
The HR Generalist is a versatile human resources professional who handles a wide range of HR functions within an organization, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compensation and benefits administration. They play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the HR department and maintaining a positive work environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Recruits; identities, schedules, interviews qualified job applicants for open positions; collaboration with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings
· Onboarding; conducts or acquires background checks, drug testing and employee eligibility verifications
· New hire orientation
· Administers benefits plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations; processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions
· Employment/policy related inquiries from applicants, employees, and managers, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
· Assists in developing and implementing personnel policies/procedures and employee handbook
· Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to benefits and leave, productivity, recognition and morale, and occupational health; may attend employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
· Administrative support including file maintenance, record keeping & HRIS entry
· Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
· Participate in Client Audits providing documentation, policies, remote and in-office meetings
· Performs other duties as assigned

§ Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
§ Working knowledge of Paylocity or ADP Workforce Now is a plus
§ Prior experiences in the legal field is a plus
Education and Experience:
§ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Management, or related field and/or equivalent experience
§ 3 to 5 years’ experience required
§ SHRM Certification is a plus
Physical Requirements:
§ Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
§ Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
