Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT), and 1+ year of Cath Lab experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Providing essential technical support in the cardiac catheterization laboratory, this role involves assisting with invasive cardiovascular procedures to ensure patient safety and procedural efficiency. You'll work closely under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, supporting radiological imaging and maintaining sterile conditions during clinical interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support physicians during cardiac and vascular procedures, including acting as a scrub assistant.
- Operate and monitor imaging equipment from the control room, accurately documenting procedure images and events.
- Provide patient care and education about pre- and post-procedure expectations and physical conditions.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and appropriate inventory levels of the cath lab unit.
- Complete detailed documentation including daily, progress, and discharge reports in line with departmental standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and identify areas to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Proven experience or training as a Cath Lab Technician or in a related imaging role.
- Ability to operate radiological imaging equipment comfortably and with precision.
- Strong understanding of sterile techniques and cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Excellent communication skills for patient and family education.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to safety and quality improvement.
