Job Summary:We are seeking a mechanically inclined individual, ideally with a machinist background, interested in transitioning into the printing press industry. The role will involve hands-on support in printing operations with comprehensive on-the-job training provided. Candidates must possess basic computer skills and a strong willingness to learn.
Job Responsibilities:

• Prepares printing plates, dies, inks, boxes, labels, cores, paperwork, and other supplies for production orders
• Precisely mounts flexible printing plates on print cylinders
• Returns and inventories unused components upon order completion
• Operates electric lift cart with elevated working platform
• Performs accurate inventory transactions using a handheld scanner
• Assists with inventory count and job setups in collaboration with the planning department and material handlers
• Operates the printing press during operator breaks
• Performs quality checks and inspections on products when required
• Follows all safety policies and procedures, including daily maintenance inspections and timely reporting of concerns

Required Skills:

• Basic computer literacy
• Mechanical aptitude
• Attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience or interest in machine operation or maintenance
• Background in machining or similar technical field

Education:High School Diploma or equivalent
