Job Summary
The Practical Nursing Clinical Coordinator is responsible for:

Organizing, administering, continuously reviewing, planning, developing, and ensuring the general effectiveness of clinical experiences for students enrolled in the Practical Nursing program.

Providing leadership for all clinical experiences.

Identifying, evaluating, recommending, and managing the College’s tasks in the Clinical Nursing Portal.

Providing coverage on an as-needed basis for didactic, clinical, and laboratory instruction when an instructor is absent.

The educational development and guidance of clinical instructors.
Pursuing ongoing continuing education designed to maintain and upgrade their professional, instructional, and administrative capabilities.
Key Responsibilities

Physical checks on faculty and students at clinical sites

Verify student records, including attendance and compliance documents as required
-
Communicate clinical goals to clinical instructors and students
-
Ensure instructors are following the approved clinical curriculum and are using the approved forms
-
Locate, collect, and evaluate clinical facilities
-
Provide support to the Director of Practical Nursing Education during daily and weekly meetings
-
Coordinate facility tours and student clinical calendar.

Provide back-up coverage for the Director of Practical Nursing Education as needed
-
Evaluate clinical instructors
-
Provide faculty development
-
Other duties as assigned
Experience Required
-
Bachelor's degree from an academic institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency that is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education

Hold an Oklahoma Nursing License.

Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills with demonstrated success in a high-volume office setting
-
Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines
-
Experience as a nurse in a clinical setting
-
Experience in a practical nursing and nursing education program
PREFERRED:
-
Track record of being successful in a high-volume customer service setting
-
Experience with CampusVue and the portal
TYPICAL WORK HOURS:
Typical start times are between 7:00 and 9:00 a.m., and typical end times are between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with Saturdays as needed. This position is not eligible for overtime pay.
