Financial Analyst

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
• $75,000 + BOE
• Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM CT (closes at 4:00 PM Fridays)
• W2, Direct Hire
ROLE IMPACT
This role supports the Finance department of a 3rd-party insurance administrator by owning core financial functions including commission reconciliation, vendor remittances, and variance analysis. The ideal candidate is Excel-proficient, detail-obsessed, and thrives in a fast-paced insurance environment. Success in this role ensures accurate payouts, clean audits, and data-driven reporting that informs strategic decisions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Calculate and reconcile weekly/biweekly/monthly vendor remittances (~100)
• Manage commission setup, scheduling, and reporting for agents and IMOs
• Perform credit card and merchant transaction reconciliations across CRMs
• Track chargeback alerts, refund resolutions, and member cancellations
• Analyze financial variances and assist with reporting to Finance leadership
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience
• 3–7 years in financial or accounting roles; insurance industry preferred
• Proven experience with commissions, vendor payments, and reconciliations
• Exceptional attention to detail; able to self-review for accuracy
CORE TOOLS & SYSTEMS
• Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, reconciliation formulas)
• QuickBooks
• CRM and payment gateway platforms
• NACHA ACH file uploads
PREFERRED SKILLS
• CPA firm or public accounting background (esp. vendor remittances)
• Insurance brokerage or 3rd-party insurance finance experience
• Accounting mindset with strong variance analysis acumen
