Job Summary

The X-Ray Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures to assist physicians in patient diagnosis and treatment. This role requires technical proficiency, patient-centered care, and the ability to support departmental operations, including providing limited lead coverage as needed to ensure workflow continuity.

Shift & Schedule

• 12-hour shifts

• Combination of weekend and rotating weekday coverage

• Day shift schedule

• No on-call requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations in accordance with established protocols and safety standards.

• Ensure proper patient positioning, radiation protection, and image quality.

• Operate radiographic equipment safely and effectively.

• Review images for diagnostic quality prior to submission.

• Maintain accurate patient documentation within the electronic medical record.

• Follow infection control, radiation safety, and regulatory guidelines.

• Provide lead coverage when scheduled, including workflow oversight and serving as a point of contact during the shift in the absence of a supervisor or designated lead technologist.

• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient patient care.

• Maintain equipment functionality and report issues as needed.

Experience Requirements

• X-Ray Technologist experience required

• First-time travelers accepted

• Ability and willingness to provide limited lead coverage when operationally required

Certifications & Licensure

• Active state X-Ray Technologist license required

• ARRT certification required

• BLS certification required
