Warehouse Inventory Control Clerk
Richmond, CA 94804
- Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday through Friday | 7am - 3:30/4pm | After training manager is flexible to work schedule | Candidate must be open to occasional weekend work
- Role is 6-month assignment
- ** FINAL CANDIDATE MUST SUBMIT TO A DRUG TEST. This will be reimbursed.
Note: MUST be legally authorized to work in the United States.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Cycle Count Inventory — Conduct ongoing cycle counts throughout the 6‐month assignment to verify quantities and correct discrepancies
- Update Inventory System — Enter missing parts, update descriptions, correct quantities, and ensure all part data is complete and accurate
- Parts Room Organization — Reorganize shelves, label parts, and maintain a clean, efficient storage layout
- Process Excess Parts — Identify excess or misplaced parts located outside the parts room and determine what should be returned to inventory
- Shelving & Stocking — Place excess or newly identified parts onto the correct shelves following company standards
- Documentation Cleanup — Over the 6‐month period ensure all part descriptions, categories, and locations are fully updated and standardized
- Support Inventory Audit — Assist with mid‐assignment and end‐of‐assignment inventory checks to confirm improvements
- Assist Staff — Help technicians and team members locate parts and answer questions about availability
Month 1:
- Initial cycle counts
- Identify missing descriptions and incorrect quantities
- Begin organizing shelves and labeling
Months 2–3:
- Full system cleanup
- Add/update all part descriptions
- Process excess parts and return them to inventory
Months 4–5:
- Deep cycle counts and corrections
- Finalize organization of all shelves and storage areas
Month 6:
- Final audit preparation
- Confirm accuracy of all inventory records
- Document completed improvements for handoff

QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 1-4 years of experience in a similar type of role
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Working knowledge of Microsoft PC programs. Experience with CMMS nice to have
- Experience with mechanical and consumable parts inventory procedures
- Be able to lift up to 50 - 60 lbs.
- *Standing pallet jack experience
- *Forklift certification nice to have
