Purpose and Scope of Position
Complete assembly of intricate units composed of a large number of parts on large and complicated units.
Responsibilities
- Assemble electrical sub-assemblies and PLC controls from drawings, specifications, work instructions, and schematics
- Help plan and document assembly procedures
- Communicate to proper departments any changes or modifications that need to be made in order to properly assemble the equipment
- Test and inspect (to print specs) the product before shipment
- Identify and correct any problems during assembly stage of equipment
- Work on all areas of our standard equipment and provide leadership to other employees within the team
- Conduct daily activities according to documented quality system procedures and work instructions
- Identify and report non-conformities in product and quality system according to procedure
- Follow all health and safety rules and regulations and communicate safety concerns to leadership
- Other duties may be assigned
Requirements
- Two-year technical degree in Automation & Manufacturing Technology or related field preferred
- Previous experience installing or troubleshooting electrical systems and components
- Experience with GE PLC programming and components are a plus
- Strong electrical ability including reading and comprehension of electrical schematics
- Basic understanding of at least one of the following areas: electrical and mechanical assembly and related common terminology
- Basic problem solving and trouble shooting ability in at least one of the following areas: electrical systems and/or programmable logic controllers
- Must be self-motivated and very detail oriented
- Must have a positive attitude and be able to work closely in a team environment
- Preferred experience and abilities in additional production areas such as
- Capable of operating forklifts
- Must be able to work with limited supervision
- Must be flexible in work methods and incorporate feedback from co-workers in order to meet production needs
- Excellent communication and team work skills
- Solutions-oriented with the ability to work independently or as part of a team

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee may work with/around live voltage wiring. The noise level in the manufacturing area is moderate to loud.
