Salary $100,000 to $120,000 + Bonus + Exceptional Benefits

Join a respected engineering organization specializing in modular industrial systems for critical infrastructure. We design, fabricate, and deliver high-performance equipment for energy, environmental, and industrial process applications. Projects span rooftop chillers, pressure vessels, piping systems, reactors, and packaged process equipment used across power generations and transmission, data centers, chemical, oil & gas, and LNG sectors.

Overview
We are seeking a Quality Engineer experienced in quality assurance and quality control for heavy fabricated steel, welded assemblies, and modular process equipment. You will develop and implement QA/QC plans, perform inspections, and ensure compliance with engineering specifications, industry standards, and applicable ASME, AWS, and other regulatory codes.

Qualifications

  • US Citizenship or current Permanent Residency (Green Card) Required.

  • Minimum 5 years’ QA/QC experience in manufacturers or fabricators of industrial process equipment, energy systems, or heavy steel assemblies.

  • Deep familiarity with ASME, AWS, API, and NACE standards and codes.

  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) and/or NACE certifications strongly preferred.

  • Experience with modular skid systems, pressure vessels, cooling towers, or rotating equipment is a plus.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Welding, or Industrial Engineering preferred.

  • Willingness to travel 20–30% overnight to fabrication facilities, suppliers, and project sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee quality inspection and documentation for large fabricated equipment, including pressure vessels, structural steel assemblies, skid-mounted modular systems, and rotating machinery.

  • Develop and execute inspection and testing procedures aligned with ASME Section VIII, AWS D1.1, API, and other relevant codes.

  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication specs, and welding procedures (WPS, PQR, WPQ).

  • Document weld quality, material traceability, NDE reports, and final quality dossiers for critical systems.

  • Collaborate with design engineers, fabrication teams, and field personnel to resolve quality-related issues.

  • Ensure compliance with customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
