HIGHLIGHTS:
- BLS Certification Required Prior to First Shift
- ACLS Required Prior to First Shift (CIRH ONLY)
- Minimum Two (2) Years Bedside Clinical Experience
- Interested in 16-26 week assignment
- Assumes charge responsibility following orientation period as requested

- Follows all hospital guidelines outlining standards of personal appearance, attendance and punctuality
- Based on the Competency Program established for direct care providers, possesses the skills and competencies necessary to perform job function in accordance with population served criteria

- The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by assuring the nursing care plan is followed
- The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees

- Performs a nursing assessment on all patients within 8 hours of admission
- Provides patient information and status in a timely manner for conferences
- Participates in the patient rehabilitation program on an assigned unit
- Initiates discharge planning on all patients from the day of admission
- Communicates all pertinent information regarding changes in patient's status
- Provides direction, training and supervision of ancillary nursing personnel
- Provides for and assures personal and environmental safety
- Positively contributes to the functioning of the unit
- Maintains communication with manager and senior nursing staff
- Identifies and initiates own professional growth
- Prioritizes activities and plans for effective use of time and staff
- Performs other duties as requested
