Connect Staffing is hiring an Order Picker for a distribution center in Houston, TX. This is a temp-to-hire overnight position paying $18/hr, Sunday through Thursday from 2:00am to 10:30am. In this role, you will use an RF scanner to pull customer orders from warehouse shelves, pack them, and stage them for shipment. This is a steady schedule with consistent hours and a long-term placement opportunity.

Responsibilities
Use an RF scanner to locate and pull customer orders accurately from warehouse shelving throughout the distribution center. You'll also:
- Scan products to verify correct items and quantities before packing
- Pack and stage completed orders in designated areas for shipment
- Operate a pallet jack to move and organize pallets and boxes
- Operate a cherry picker to pick orders from elevated shelving locations
- Meet per-hour pick productivity quotas consistently throughout the shift
- Follow safety procedures and warehouse traffic rules at all times
Minimum Requirements
- 1+ year of order picking or warehouse fulfillment experience
- Experience using an RF scanner to pick and verify orders
- Ability to meet productivity quotas in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating a cherry picker or order picker lift
- Experience working overnight or early-morning warehouse shifts
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or scan-based order fulfillment software
- Experience in a distribution center, fulfillment center, or e-commerce warehouse
- Background in high-volume picking environments with measured productivity goals
- Preferred prior job titles: Order Picker, Warehouse Order Picker, Pick and Pack Associate, Fulfillment Associate, Warehouse Associate, Material Handler, Cherry Picker Operator, RF Scanner Operator, Distribution Center Associate, Picker Packer
Pre-Employment Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift
- Ability to work at a very fast pace and consistently meet pick-rate quotas
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish
- Drug screen required
- Background check required
- E-Verify / work authorization required
