Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A rewarding opportunity is available for a Physical Therapist with experience across educational settings including Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle, and High School levels. This contract position is based in Owosso, MI, serving the needs of students within a school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide therapeutic interventions and support aimed at improving students physical capabilities and functional mobility.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Conduct assessments to identify students physical therapy needs and track progress.
- Adapt therapy techniques to meet the developmental stages of children from early childhood through high school.
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school policies and regulatory standards.
Desired Qualifications:
- Licensed Physical Therapist with experience in school-based therapy services.
- Expertise working with children at various educational levels: Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle, and High School.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with students, families, and school staff.
- Ability to manage caseloads efficiently within a contract-based role.
- Familiarity with school health regulations and individualized education program (IEP) processes is preferred.
