Intermodal/Port Truck Driver
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Intermodal Driver with a valid TWIC card to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of driving experience in intermodal operations and a passion for sharing their knowledge by training and mentoring other drivers.
Duties
- Safely transport intermodal freight to and from ports, rail yards, and customer locations in NJ-NY-CT-PA-DE-MD
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety protocols.
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance as required.
- Maintain accurate and timely logs and reports.
- Train, mentor, and provide guidance to new or less experienced drivers on intermodal operations, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, team members, and customers.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an intermodal driver.
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License, Class A.
- Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement
- Valid TWIC card.
- Strong knowledge of intermodal logistics and port operations.
- Excellent driving record with no major violations.
- Strong communication and mentoring skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
