Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available for the 2025-2026 school year at a charter high school in Federal Heights, CO. This role focuses on serving students in moderate to severe classrooms and offers the chance to manage cases as a dedicated case manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the case manager for assigned students, maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the needs of students with moderate to severe disabilities.
- Complete required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner to meet Colorado special education standards.
- Engage in direct instructional work with students in the classroom, adapting as necessary to support individual learning.
- Collaborate with school staff and families to promote student progress and wellbeing.
Qualifications:
- Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) licensure or an application in progress.
- Previous experience working in Colorado special education classrooms.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, especially in documentation.
- Flexibility to perform various duties related to student instruction and case management.
- Commitment to onsite work in Federal Heights, CO.
