Salary: $55,000-$60,000
Schedule: 8-4; Monday through Friday (On-Site)

Position Overview
An established education organization is seeking a full-time Accounting / HR Specialist to support day-to-day financial, human resources, and administrative operations. This role partners closely with leadership in operations and finance and provides hands-on support across Accounts Payable, Human Resources, and administrative reporting, with backup exposure to Accounts Receivable and Payroll.
This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who works well independently, maintains a high level of confidentiality, and enjoys supporting a mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
- Manage accounts payable communications, purchase orders, invoices, and delivery documentation
- Enter vendor invoices and payments into accounting software
- Process regular check runs and comply with bank payment controls
- Maintain organized fiscal-year AP records and files
- Process recurring payments, utilities, and loan statements
- Assist with audit preparation and annual tax reporting (e.g., 1099s)
Human Resources
- Support employee onboarding, contracts, background checks, and orientation
- Maintain personnel files and HR tracking tools
- Assist with benefits administration, enrollment changes, and annual open enrollment
- Support contract renewals, employee separations, and compliance tracking
Payroll Support
- Maintain PTO and absence tracking
- Process time and payroll adjustments in payroll systems
- Maintain specialized tracking spreadsheets as needed
Purchasing & Administrative Support
- Place and track orders using approved purchase processes
- Coordinate with vendors and monitor deliveries
- Support annual supply ordering
- Assist with month-end close, reporting, and budget tracking in spreadsheets and accounting systems
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a similar AP, HR, or administrative role
- Proficiency with accounting software, payroll systems, and Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables)
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Professional demeanor and ability to handle confidential information discreetly
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a values-driven environment
Compensation & Schedule
- Salary: $58,000–$60,000 annually, based on experience
- Schedule: On-site, standard business hours (8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.)
