This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher to provide dedicated support in an Autism Support Classroom for elementary students. Located onsite in Norristown, PA, this full-time position involves a 40-hour workweek during the school year (NSY) under a contract arrangement. The role requires working closely with middle school students, implementing individualized education programs, and fostering a positive learning environment tailored to meet diverse needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students with autism in an elementary Autism Support Classroom
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods to optimize learning outcomes
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere to encourage student growth and engagement
- Maintain thorough documentation and comply with all special education regulations and standards
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching License
- Candidates with an emergency certification and substantial experience in special education are encouraged to apply
