This role is design-forward and construction-aware — ideal for someone who enjoys translating network plans into clear, buildable construction prints that field crews can execute confidently.
You'll work across aerial and underground fiber routes, collaborate with construction and project teams, and help ensure designs are cost-effective, compliant, and constructible.

We value strong OSP design fundamentals, construction awareness, and real-world fiber experience. If this role aligns with your background, we encourage you to apply.
What You'll Be Doing:OSP Design & Engineering
- Design aerial and underground fiber routes for FTTx, last-mile, and middle-mile projects
- Produce construction-ready OSP drawings using CAD and GIS tools
- Develop fiber allocation sheets, splicing diagrams, and route maps
- Design underground pathways including HDD, trenching, and conduit systems
- Perform or support aerial make-ready and pole loading analysis
Permitting & ROW Support
- Prepare permit drawings and support submissions to municipalities, DOTs, and railroads
- Coordinate with joint-use utility owners for pole attachment applications
- Research ROW access, easements, and utility conflicts
Field & Construction Support
- Participate in field walkouts to validate routes and identify constructability issues
- Adjust designs quickly when field conditions differ from plans
- Create Bills of Materials (BOMs) for budgeting and procurement
- Update as-built documentation post-construction
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of hands-on OSP fiber design experience (aerial or underground)
- Experience producing construction-ready OSP drawings
- Familiarity with FTTx fiber networks
- Working knowledge of NESC and basic ROW concepts
- Comfort working in CAD and/or GIS environments
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with 3-GIS, Aramis, Spatial INFO, QGIS, ArcGIS

- OSP platforms: 3-GIS, Aramis, Spatial INFO (or similar)
- Excel (BOMs, tracking)
Work Environment:
- Hybrid model: A mix of office/remote work for design and drafting, combined with field visits for scoping and verification.
