Location: Mansfield, TX
Job Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:30AM- 4:30PM
Job Summary: Responsible for overseeing all aspects of a fleet of trucks. Their main task is to ensure the fleet is well-maintained, meets legal requirements, and is operated efficiently to maximize productivity and minimize costs. They are responsible for managing and developing relationships with drivers to increase overall driver satisfaction and improve driver retention. They also work closely with drivers to coordinate deliveries and ensure they arrive at their destination on time. Communication, analytical and organizational skills are essential to succeed in this role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Track and trace all drivers daily to confirm transit is managed
- Resolve service issues/recoveries and communicate to planners/bookers/customers/drivers
- Ensure that all customer requirements are fulfilled (service, van equipment needs, trailer needs)
- Coordinate with planners on new load plans and service issues
- Update trailer/equipment changes in a timely manner
- Provide all DOT documentation received in a timely manner
- Obtain all required paperwork for customer requirements
- Investigate and report weekly on all roadsides and accidents
- Review driver vouchers after sending them to processing
- Understand billable charges for customers so that charges are added and billed to pay the driver
