Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years Deaf & Hard of Hearing Specialist experience required.
This position offers an opportunity to work as a Teacher for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students within a K-12 educational setting. The role is itinerant, requiring travel to multiple school sites to provide specialized instruction and support to a caseload of 16 students ranging from early childhood through 21 years of age. This contract position spans the 2025-2026 school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored educational services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing across multiple school locations.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that meet state and federal guidelines.
- Collaborate with educational teams, families, and specialists to support student success.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by the Colorado Department of Education (CDE).
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid CDE Licensure specific to teaching students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
- Experience working with a diverse caseload of students from early childhood through young adulthood.
- Strong knowledge of instructional methods tailored to deaf and hard of hearing students.
- Ability to manage time effectively while traveling between multiple sites.
- Excellent munication and collaboration skills.
Location and Schedule:
- This role is based in Arvada, CO, with travel required to various school sites.
- Contract duration: August 11, 2025, through May 22, 2026.
- Part-time hours: 30 hours per week.
