Job Description
Position Summary:
The Radiologic Technologist provides patient care by performing a variety of diagnostic and routine fluoroscopic radiographic procedures. This role requires independent judgment, initiative, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform radiographic procedures in accordance with department protocols.
- Operate and maintain radiology equipment, reporting malfunctions as needed.
- Maintain adequate stock of supplies in assigned areas.
- Cross-train in other imaging modalities as directed.
- Safely dispose of contaminated materials following regulatory guidelines.
- Comply with all exposure control plans, including the use of PPE and universal precautions.
- Work collaboratively with all team members to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Uphold service standards and maintain professionalism with patients, families, and coworkers.
- Participate in care team meetings and daily huddles.
- Support patient education on preventive and chronic care needs.
- Administer clinical screenings and immunizations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations including HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, and The Joint Commission.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an A.M.A.-approved training program in Radiologic Technology.
- Active California CRT License or ARRT Certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum one year of related experience.
- Valid California driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
