Job DescriptionSnelling is recruiting a Press Brake Operator as a leading manufacturer in the Bessemer, AL area! As a Press Brake Operator, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, operating a state-of-the-art press brake machine to bend, shape, and form metal and other materials into custom components for specialized storage and display solutions.Starting Pay: $19.00-20.00/hr, Depending on experienceShifts: Openings on 1st & 2nd shift, with overtime as needed
Key Responsibilities of Press Brake Operator:
- Operate press brake machine to bend, shape, and form metal and other materials according to blueprints and technical specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to ensure accurate fabrication
- Perform quality checks and inspections on finished components
- Maintain and clean press brake machine and related equipment
- Collaborate with the manufacturing team to optimize production processes and identify opportunities for improvement
Qualifications Required for Press Brake Operator:
- 1-2 years of experience operating a press brake machine in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- High school diploma or equivalent
