The Senior Advisor cultivatesand enhances relationships withprospectiveand current fundholders, provides an unmatched level of personal engagement and customer service, and helps the Omaha Community Foundation (OCF) grow.This role will collaborate closely with fundholders and professional advisor partners, ensuring that they achieve their philanthropic goals effectively and efficiently. The Senior Advisor will work on innovative endeavors and contribute to strategy development.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor'sdegree in public administration, business management, finance or a related field*
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in client relationship management
- Ability to deliver high-quality, customized service to clients and partners, while staying current on philanthropic best practices and trends
- Ability to conduct detailed research and distill meaningful summaries. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; CRM database experience
- Willingness and ability to work as a team member with colleagues and external partners
- Must possess a valid drivers license, reliable transportation and current insurance
Preferred:
- A Masters degree, Juris Doctor (JD) or advanced post-secondary program
- Advanced certificationsuch as Certified Financial Planner (CFP), 2164 Certification, AEP or Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP)
- A background in financial planning, trusts and estates, charitable planning and business development
- Detail-oriented andaccurate, with excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability toleveragetechnology and integrate data in meaningful ways
- Experience managing a portfolio, developing, engaging, and communicating with dynamic networks of diverse individuals to deepen relationships
- Comfort and experience with public speaking and facilitation
*A combination of relevant education and previous experience may be considered in lieu of the defined educational requirements may be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of fundholders, serving as a charitable advisor by providing attentive, proactive and customized services including charitable planning and legacy giving. Offer expert guidance in charitable giving and legacy planning to a portfolio of fundholders, creating stewardship plans and support giving goals.
- Develop a deep understanding of OCF's products and services including charitable giving tools, funds, and resources for fundholders and professional advisor partners.Strengthen the relationship between OCF and the Omaha professional advisor community.
- Consult fundholders and professional advisor partners in attaining the fundholders specific philanthropic goals, including facilitating contributions of cash, stock and other assets to OCF funds.
- Anticipate internal and external regulatory issues, recommending process, product or service improvements that contribute to strategy development. Develop, plan and manage new initiatives in support of the Foundations mission.
- Plan and execute educational sessions for current Foundation fundholders on aspects of charitable givingthat impacttax and estate planning. Assistwith establishingand creating funds at the Foundation through lifetime and planned gifts.
- Assist with the implementation of programs to cultivate relationships with professional advisors, and other prospect groups, to grow gifts and new funds for the Foundation. Facilitate new account acquisitions, fundholder relationships and account retention.
- Actively represent OCF at local events, conferences, and seminars.
- May be required to complete other duties within scope as assigned.
Environment:
The primary work locationis1120 S. 101stStreetin Omaha, Nebraska. This role is expected to work in the office, with the occasional flexibility to work from home.
