Job Details:
Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the quality of our products and services in the highly competitive metals market. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ITAR compliance, Six Sigma Green Belt, and a comprehensive knowledge of different metals. This position requires at least 5 years of relevant experience and offers opportunities for career growth and development.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure compliance with quality assurance policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Apply Six Sigma methodologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our processes.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure ITAR compliance across all business operations.
  • Monitor and analyze data from various sources to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for process improvements.
  • Collaborate with sales, production, and other departments to design and execute quality assurance strategies.
  • Handle customer complaints regarding quality and take corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Evaluate the quality of raw materials like alloys, copper, brass, nickel, titanium, aluminum, and steel, and ensure they meet our standards.
  • Supervise heat treatment processes to ensure they are carried out correctly and efficiently.
  • Provide technical advice and support to the sales team, helping them to understand product specifications and quality requirements.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality engineering role
  • Thorough knowledge of ITAR compliance is essential.
  • Proven experience working with different metals.
  • Strong understanding of heat treatment processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Proficient in using quality assurance software and other relevant computer applications.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and guide a team.
  • Detail-oriented, with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
