Position: Nurse Practitioner (Occupational Health - NPFM)
Location: Bend, OR 97701
Duration: ASAP - 09/08/25 (Possible extension)
Pay rate: $85 - 90/hr
Schedule:
- 4 x 10-hour shifts per week (typically Tuesday–Friday, with flexibility to adjust for PTO coverage)
- Daily lunch break from 12 PM to 1 PM
- Alternating 1st and 3rd Saturdays from 7 AM to 12 PM
Overview: Seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team, floating between two nearby sites in Bend, OR. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family practice, chronic disease management, and occupational health, including worker’s compensation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide primary care services to patients ages 2 and older in a primary care setting
- Manage a variety of chronic diseases and acute conditions
- Deliver occupational health services, including worker’s comp care, physicals, and return-to-work evaluations
- Provide basic medical care to detained juveniles at the JDC, including physical exams and treatment of simple complaints
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure continuity of care
- Document patient encounters in EMR accurately and timely
- Perform (or be willing to learn) venipuncture and CLIA-waived lab testing procedures
Essential Requirements:
- Licensed NP or PA in the state of Oregon
- DOT Certification required
- Minimum 1-year of recent experience in Primary care, or family practice, and chronic disease management
- Experience in occupational health and worker’s compensation cases is a plus
- Previous experience using EPIC EMR is a plus
- Must have an active BLS
- Must have a clean background
